Seminary Partners With Community to Help Students

BMA Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the Faithful 100 Initiative, which is aimed at helping students with their financial needs by partnering with community members eager to see students focus on their training and eager to see the impact of these students upon society. 

“BMA Seminary has been privileged to provide quality accredited Christian higher education to the residents of Greater Jacksonville and Cherokee County for nearly half a century,” remarked Dr. Charley Holmes, Seminary President.  “The seminary’s presence has allowed thousands of individuals to learn about ultimate values and improve in their abilities to touch the hearts of those who they serve in the name of Christ.”

Enthusiastically embracing its mission to train men and women in the Word of God, BMA Theological Seminary equips individuals to be ministers and teachers of the Gospel and to be influenced thoroughly by the Gospel’s life-changing teachings.  BMA Theological Seminary graduates serve their communities in a myriad of ways—as pastors, teachers, counselors, business people, laborers, etc.

Many students, however, face significant financial hurdles to completing their educations.  Most students have families and must work in the community.  The Faithful 100 Initiative is looking for 100 people/businesses to partner with the seminary over the next year to assist students with their financial needs.  These Faithful 100 will assist students with their financial needs and allow them to work diligently (without the added stress of finances) at being trained to become servants to their calling and servants to their communities.  Those students involved in the initiative will have regular contact with their sponsors so both can see the results of their partnership.   

“We hope the community sees the importance of helping these students train to become effective leaders in their ministries, businesses and local communities.  By taking an active role in student training, the community helps ensure that the next generation will uphold the same community standards and ethics that have been so vital to this area for so long,” said Dr. Philip Attebery, the school’s Dean.
