MISSIONARY ASSOCIATION THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY
ALUMNI
AND FRIENDS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Established on Founders Day – April 22, 2008
“Go Ye Therefore and Teach All Nations…” (Matthew 28:19)
The BMATS Alumni and Friends Scholarship is provided
annually to a student entering his or her final academic semester, prior to
graduation, who exhibits an extraordinary level of spirituality, aptitude, and
accomplishment to warrant scholarship assistance and who is planning to enter
the Ministry and/or the Missions Field with and for the Baptist Missionary Association of America.
First preference
for the BMATS Alumni and Friends Scholarship will be given to an Alumnus or Relative of an Alumnus who is a current member of the Baptist
Missionary Association Theological Seminary Alumni and Friends Association. A
preference will also be given to the student with plans in the near future to
pursue a doctoral degree.
Second
preference for the BMATS Alumni and Friends Scholarship will be awarded to a
student with an emphasis on Domestic Missions and/or plans for a career in World Missions or an International Student intending to
return to his or her own country.
The BMATS Alumni and Friends Scholarship will be awarded
to such an individual upon recommendation and approval of the Baptist
Missionary Association Theological Seminary, President.
THE DR. ANN
MARIE SNYDER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
(Established:
April 2008)
The Dr Ann Marie Snyder
(MAR-2004) Scholarship is provided annually to a female student interested in
acquiring knowledge and skills in the Evangelism
field of study. This scholarship is awarded specifically for the course Biblical
Evangelism and Discipleship, Ev-311/511.
First preference
for the Dr Ann Marie Snyder Scholarship
will be given to the wife of a Pastor/Minister, or BMAT Seminary student who
was previously or is currently enrolled in the Biblical Evangelism and
Discipleship course Ev-311/511 or 312/512.
The Dr Ann Marie Snyder Scholarship will be awarded
to such an individual upon the recommendation and approval of the Baptist
Missionary Association Theological Seminary, Academic Dean of Students.

Alumni and Friends,
The
Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary is too important to our
Christian world mission for us to ignore it.
It is essential that we as friends and graduates of this great
institution join our hands together for the work of this great institution.
- We have a superb history.
- We have a world class faculty.
- We have a proven program.
- We have a bright future.
It
is time for us as BMATS Alumni and Friends Association to dedicate ourselves to
this great history, faculty, program, and future. How do I do that? I do that
by:
- Praying for the function of the
Holy Spirit to be in each and every class
- Encouraging our administration,
staff, and faculty by our words of appreciation
- Joining the BMATS Alumni and
Friends Association

SEMINARY TO REORGANIZE ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION
The BMA
Seminary is excited to announce that initial steps are being taken to
reorganize the BMA
Seminary Alumni Association which has most recently been named
“S.T.A.F.F.”
Dr. Ann Snyder
(M.A.R. ’04) and member of the BMA Seminary Board of Visitors
is leading in
the association’s reorganization.
According to
the proposed bylaws, the purpose of this alumni association will be to
promote a
unified fellowship among the Alumni family, to foster the interests and
advancement of the
Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary toward the
achievement of training men
and women for Christian ministry vocations to the glory of God.
The purpose
will be fulfilled by such things as prayer, financial support,
assistance in recruiting,
communication to the public and assisting the seminary’s
achievement of planned goals and
objectives.

Distinguished Alumni and Friends Award
The
BMA Seminary Distinguished Alumni Award is given annually to recipients who
have brought unusual credit to
their alma mater by their distinction in
Christian ministry.
This
award is conferred on individual alumni for distinguished achievements as
servant leaders locally, regionally, nationally or internationally. (Current
Students, Former Students, and Friends).
