Dean Attends Meeting of Theological Schools

 

Dr. Philip Attebery, BMA Seminary Dean, attended joint meetings of the Chief Academic Officers Society (CAOS) and the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada in Garden Grove, California during June 25-28, 2004. The general theme for the meetings was "Theological Schools and the Church– Finding a Future Together." Attebery attended workshops and plenary sessions which dealt with issues unique to theological education and was able to meet with colleagues from other institutions similar to BMATS. He said, "It is helpful to be part of an organization in which members provide genuine assistance to each other regarding matters of mutual concern. Our theologies may not always agree but academic and administrative matters are pretty much non denominational and provide opportunities for meaningful dialogue."
