BMA Seminary Represented at NCCJ
Conference
Dr. Philip Attebery and Patrick Lloyd (BAR '02) represented BMA Seminary at the
16th Annual Seminarians Interacting Conference in January 2005. The
conference is sponsored annually by the National Conference for Community and
Justice (NCCJ) and the Council of Southwestern Theological Schools (COSTS).
The Conference theme dealt with "Love, Power, and Justice in Jewish and
Christian Traditions." Students and faculty from seminaries in Texas
participated in discussions on the theme and related topics. The
conference provided opportunity for students "to interact with those from
different religious traditions, races, and cultures," according to Emily
Trantham, Executive Director for NCCJ.
Attebery serves BMA Seminary as Dean and Professor of Christian Education.
Lloyd is a Master of Divinity student at BMA Seminary.
