Strengthen the Brethren Conference

Dr. Charley Holmes, BMA Seminary President, and Dr. S.L. Curry, BMA Seminary Adjunct Professor, were guest speakers for the 2006 Strengthen the Brethren Men's Motivational Conference held February 11 at the Harvey Hall Convention Center in Tyler, Texas. The conference is presented by the Dale Chapel Baptist Church of Tyler. The church's pastor is Dr. John Hart.

Dr. Curry provided a morning devotional from Psalm 46.

Dr. Holmes preached from Luke 16:31 and encouraged conference attendees to heed the teachings of Abraham over the rich man's philosophy. He urged attendees to trust that "God's Word faithfully read, taught and preached is sufficient and is the essential element to bring individuals to spiritual maturity."
