Latrell Windham, Director for the Baptist Missionary Association of Mississippi Youth Department, was present for seminary chapel services October 2, 2006.  Windham has been a leader in youth ministry for 40 years.  He has spent 24 of those years in his current position.  He spoke on elements of a successful ministry to youth. 

Brent Smith, Fire Marshall for the City of Jacksonville, was present for seminary chapel services on October 4, 2006.  He lectured on various aspects of fire prevention.  Students were encouraged to be diligent in addressing safety concerns both at home and in their local churches.  The seminary's Religious Life Committee invited the fire marshal to speak as part of its annual efforts to promote health and safety amongst the seminary community.
